Primary Music Teacher Position

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Primary Music Teacher to join our team. If you are passionate about teaching music and have the skills to engage young learners, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach Music Fundamentals: Engage Grade 1 and Grade 2 students with interactive lessons on rhythm, melody, and musical expression.

2. Ukulele Instruction: Provide structured yet engaging lessons to Grades 3 to 6, focusing on technique and ensemble work.

3. Instrumental Instruction: Utilize your skills in piano, guitar, and recorder to support the music curriculum.

4. Voice Training: Offer foundational vocal training and incorporate singing into lessons.

5. Collaborative Planning: Work with other teachers to create a dynamic music program.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.

- Proficiency in piano, guitar, recorder, and voice instruction.

- Experience teaching Grades 1 to 6, with knowledge of play-based teaching methods.

- Ability to teach ukulele to intermediate-level students.

- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Previous experience in a school music program.

- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

- Experience working in a team of music educators.
