We are seeking dedicated native English-speaking educators to join our dynamic team as PYP Homeroom Teachers. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to shape young minds in an international learning environment, with a focus on inquiry-based education and holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons for assigned primary grade levels
Collaborate with curriculum coordinators, specialist teachers, and support teams to design Units of Inquiry and differentiated lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs.
Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies, provide timely feedback, and maintain detailed records.
Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social-emotional growth and active learning.
Engage with parents through conferences and communication to support student development.
Participate in school-wide activities, excursions, and collaborative planning sessions.
Requirements
Native English speaker (preferred from the UK, USA, Canada, or Australia).
Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience; IB PYP experience is highly preferred.
A valid university degree in Education, English, or a related field, plus appropriate teaching certification.
Ability to provide a clear background check and professional references.
Currently based in China and able to complete visa formalities independently.
Available to start by September 1st.
Benefits
Competitive salary range: 16,000–25,000 RMB per month.
Housing allowance: 2,500 RMB per month.
Annual flight allowance: 9,000 RMB.
11-month contract in the first year, with paid winter and summer vacations (2 weeks winter break, over 1.5 months summer break, plus 2 weeks Christmas break).
2-year contract.
