Job Description:

King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang International Demonstration School (KMIDS) in Bangkok is seeking an English Teacher for secondary education. KMIDS is a WASC-accredited institution specializing in science, technology, mathematics, and design, and is located in Ladkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand. We are looking to hire professional educators who are English-speaking, collaborative, and forward-thinking to join our team.

All subjects, except for Thai and Chinese languages, are taught in English. The school offers a competitive benefits package and dedicated collaborative planning time as part of our mission to cultivate Thailand’s “Masters of Innovation.” Due to our increasing student enrollment, we anticipate the need for an additional middle/high school English teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year and beyond.

Ideal candidates should:
- Demonstrate the ability to engage and inspire students through effective and creative learning activities.
- Have solid experience in teaching English/ELA within the American curriculum or similar frameworks.
- Possess experience in teaching AP English courses, such as AP English Literature and/or AP English Language.
- Be flexible in teaching a range of English courses across grade levels, including literature, writing, Honors, and AP.
- Have international teaching experience.
- Hold a degree in English, Literature, or a related field, with teaching certification/licensure in their home country being highly desirable.

Interested applicants should send their current résumé and a cover letter to stefan.es@kmids.ac.th and marc.bo@kmids.ac.th.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
