Wanted - A Christian Teacher for the 2023 Fall Semester

Haven Christian School is a school that is "by the Lord and for the Lord."

Our school is dedicated to helping students discover their gifts and utilize them in the service of Jesus. Haven Christian School (www.haven.or.kr) is seeking a new teacher, either a native English speaker or bilingual, to join our team starting August 24th, 2023. Our school operates with an English-based curriculum, supplemented by several core Korean classes. Located in Gwacheon city, one of the best places to live in South Korea, Haven Christian School has been in operation for 15 years, currently serving approximately 260 students (grades 1-12) with a staff of 40 teachers. Our daily morning routine includes quiet-time Bible study (QT) and prayer. Our faculty comprises dedicated Christians, and the majority of our students are born-again Christians.

We are in search of a teacher with a missionary mindset to instruct middle and high school students in Social Studies from a Christian worldview. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in education. While prior teaching experience is not a requirement, it is preferred. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited four-year university. The school will provide the following:

1)  2.4 - 3.2 million won per month

2) Yearly Bonus: 3 million won (semester bonus, holiday bonus)
3) 6 - 8 weeks paid vacation a year (3-4 weeks in summer and 3-4 weeks in winter)

4) No school: national holidays, teacher's day, thanksgiving day, Christmas break 

5) 1/2 payment of the national health insurance and national pension, severance pay

6) M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm working hours

7) 20-22 teaching hours a week
