Sub-Teacher

💼 Betty English
📍South Korea
💰 Competitive Salary
Job Description:

Hi there!

I'm running a small gyoseupso and it's speaking-focused place. I want my students to experience talking to a native speaker with a foreign appearance, which I find necessary in English education.

At the beginning, I’ll join the class to help my students be relaxed and comfortable with a new teacher. And we’re going to play some kind of activities: twenty questions or to talk about each one’s thought after reading a short text. The plan is not solid yet. I want to give you some autonomy about the program, so if you have your own activity program, that would be great.

There will be 5 or 7 kids (from 10 yo to 13 yo), who reached the level that can use the past and future tense a little, not present perfect nor conditional yet.

The compensation will be 100,000 won for 100 min class (4:00 pm to 5:40 pm), 70,000 won for 70 min class (3:00 - 4:10 pm).

I want to try out with the 100-min class on 21st of May.

As it's a part-time, and my place is very small, I won't be able to support you a visa or a residence. So someone with a F visa would be suitable.

I’m looking for a young female teacher. Someone who’s experienced in teaching kids will be more welcome.

My place is in Yongin but there’s a direct bus from Gangnam station and it takes only 40-45 mins.

If our students love it, I might give you more class.

If you’re interested, please send your resume with a photo. And if you want to add some teaching experience in your resume, please put the address of the place with their name so that I can see that it's valid information.

I'm looking for to meeting you!

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.

You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
