Job Description:

Yu-Jen is an elementary school looking for Foreign English teachers. At the moment opportunities are available in early learner age levels, as well as higher grade levels. Our preference is to have people join us full time, but some part time arrangements will be possible too.

We are a school with a great reputation, excellent benefits, and a positive, professional team. We have paid winter and summer vacations, multiple health insurances (NHI, Labor Insurance, and a private insurance), a small pension, year-end bonuses, and multiple other benefits. The curriculum is clear and materials are provided to the teacher. The subjects range from Grammar and other literacy subjects, through to PE, music, and clubs.

We are looking for energetic professional teachers, ideally with experience. Character is as important as ability in our team. Background checks and drug tests will need to be provided. Applicants need to hold teaching certification from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, NZ, or RSA if an ARC is needed, or can be permanent residence holders with sufficient teaching experience. Please note, TEFL or similar certification is welcome, but cannot be used to apply for a work permit. The full time position working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with one half day off a week, and a 90 minute lunch break. Lots of time is provided for preparation and grading through the course of each day, and the teaching load will not exceed 20 contact hours per week (30 forty-minute classes).
