Thailand Camp Counselor

🏫 Royal Education Camp
📍Chon Buri, Thailand
💰 Up To 22,500 THB per week
Part-TimeCompanyEnglish / ESL / TEFL
Job Description:

Good day,

Our company, Royal Education Camp (REC), will be holding its inaugural summer camp in Chonburi, Thailand this July (exact dates to be confirmed).

REC takes a unique approach to traditional camps. Our program focuses on helping international students practice functional English in real-life situations while participating in activities and excursions throughout Chonburi.

We are currently seeking highly motivated native English-speaking teachers to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates already based in Asia.

Because the camp includes outdoor activities and excursions with students, applicants should be energetic and in good physical condition. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate the following qualities:

Mentally sharp and attentive
Tech-savvy
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Creative and flexible
Comfortable working with children

The camp duration will be two weeks. Teachers are welcome to remain in Thailand afterwards at their own expense if they wish to travel or relax.

Compensation
Successful candidates will receive:
USD $1,400 upon completion of the camp
Flight ticket reimbursement (actual cost)
Private beachfront hotel accommodation
Lunch allowance

Important Considerations
Before applying, please keep the following in mind:

Thailand can be hot, humid, and occasionally rainy during this time of year.
Under Thailand’s current visa policy, many nationalities may enter visa-free twice per year. If you have already used one visa-free entry this year, participating in this camp would count as your second entry. Additional travel afterward may require a visa. Need not apply if you have been to Thailand twice this year already. (2026)
This role involves working closely with children and participating in activities. Applicants should have patience, energy, and a positive attitude.

Application Process
If you are interested, please email the following directly, not on the website:

*Your resume (PDF preferred)
*A recent photo (Include in resume)
*A 30-second introduction video
*Your most recent criminal background check

Please include “Your Name – Camp Applicant” in the subject line of your email.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a two-round interview process. Strong candidates who are not selected may be added to our teacher roster for future camps.
We look forward to hearing from passionate educators who want to create an engaging and memorable experience for our students.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
