Teaching Job Opening at the Language Education Center (LEC)
Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), South Korea

1. Job title: Visiting English Instructor

2. Employment Term : From September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023

3. Qualifications
 3-1. University degree and teaching experience
  ※ Teaching experience is counted as below
     1 year fulltime university teaching experience = 1 year
     1 year fulltime kindergarten to highschool or academy teaching experience = 0.7 year
  3-1-1 Bachelor's degree holders with 4 years teaching experience or more 
  3-1-2 Master’s degree holders with 2 years teaching experience or more
  3-1-3 Ph.D. degree holders
 3-2. Nationality
   A fluent speaker of English whose nationality is one of the following: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.

4. Job description
  Teaching English as a foreign language
  Teaching 840 hours, 44 weeks a year

5. Salary
  2,400,000 Won per month for a Master’s degree/Ph.D. in English, English Education,
English Literature, Linguistics, and TESOL.
  2,200,000 Won for other degrees
  25,000 Won per hour for overtime teaching

6. Fringe benefit
  8 weeks of paid vacation in a year
  200,000 won monthly housing subsidy 
  Health insurance (cost evenly shared)
  Severance pay at the end of contract (an equivalence of one month salary)
  National pension except South Africa (cost evenly shared)

   Scanned copy of two recommendation letters with contact phone numbers, which will be used for your reference check
   - At least one should be from your Korean supervisor on your certificate of career.
   - Both of the letters written since 2018 are valid.
