Job Description:

Advanced Learning Bangkok is seeking an Academic Mentor & English Foundations Specialist to work part-time with exceptional young students near BTS Ari in Bangkok. We are looking for a highly capable, energetic, and intellectually curious native English-speaking mentor to join our team. This role involves working closely with ambitious students from Bangkok’s leading international schools as part of a long-term Academic Foundations & Self-Discovery mentorship program.

Our program goes beyond traditional tutoring by focusing on developing strong reading, writing, communication, curiosity, and thinking skills through engaging discussions and learning experiences. This opportunity allows you to become an influential mentor during critical formative years for these students.

Key Features of the Role:
- Collaborate with motivated students and sophisticated families.
- Educate students who already attend top international schools in Thailand.
- Shape students' intellectual curiosity, confidence, and long-term academic growth.
- Design engaging sessions covering a wide range of topics such as science, business, psychology, world affairs, culture, technology, and social issues.
- Develop meaningful mentor relationships with students, focusing on more than just English language instruction.

Responsibilities:
- Mentor and teach elementary and early middle school students.
- Teach English reading, writing, vocabulary, and communication skills using intellectually stimulating content.
- Customize lesson plans based on each student’s personality, strengths, and interests.
- Keep sessions positive and dynamic to engage younger children.
- Encourage curiosity, discussion, confidence, and critical thinking.
- Provide short progress updates after each session.
- Coordinate with senior mentors on student development.

Ideal Candidate:
- Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Currently residing full-time in Thailand.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Warm, energetic, and engaging personality.
- Comfortable working with young children and families with high expectations.
- Able to balance structure with creativity and adaptability.
- Experience in international school teaching or mentoring is preferred.

Compensation:
- THB 800 per hour.
- Minimum of 1.5 hours per session.
- Long-term mentorship opportunities for strong candidates.

Location:
- Central Bangkok, a short walk from BTS Ari.
