Soonchunhyang University in Asan, South Korea is seeking a full-time English professor to join their team starting from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. The university is looking for a candidate who holds a Master’s degree, has at least 2 years of teaching experience at a university or public school, and is a native English speaker. Candidates who completed their Master’s in a year or less must have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in similar settings. The ideal applicant will have a degree in Education, English, or TESOL and possess a CELTA or TEFL certificate. A candidate with an F-visa or E-1/E-2 visa currently residing in Korea will be preferred. The final candidate will need to attend a face-to-face interview as part of the selection process. Responsibilities for this position include teaching 15 contact hours per week, with paid overtime for any additional hours. The duties will involve conducting university classes and participating in university-operated English Camps. The salary for this position is a basic starting salary of 2,444,000 KRW per month with a Master’s degree. Overtime opportunities are available with a rate of 33,000 KRW per hour. The benefits package includes a minimum of 10 weeks of paid vacation, 50/50 medical insurance, Korea Teachers Pension, furnished one room apartment or a housing stipend, a travel allowance, and special discounts from Soonchunhyang University Hospital.
