Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join our secondary academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons that integrate biological concepts with practical experiments and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology to secondary-level students in alignment with the school curriculum and schedule.
- Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and laboratory activities.
- Conduct practical investigations adhering to strict safety standards.
- Implement inquiry-based and project-based teaching strategies.
- Evaluate students through various assessments and track their progress.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and colleagues on curriculum and student support.
- Engage in departmental meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Science Education, or a related field.
- Preferred: Recognized teaching qualification or license.
- Experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.
- Strong understanding of cell biology, genetics, ecology, human biology, evolution, and biotechnology.
- Experience in planning and conducting laboratory investigations safely.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology.
- Commitment to professional development and collaboration.
