Job Description:
Joe's English Academy is seeking a full-time, experienced Native English Teacher to start in December 2023/January 2024.
POSITION:
Working hours: M-F 12-7 (classes from 2-7. After adapting to the school's system a start time of 1pm will be allowed)
Students: Elementary
Class size: Maximum of 6
Class type: Phonics/reading and writing/debates/speech preparation
Class materials will be provided but some planning time will be necessary
Minimal admin work
PAY AND BENEFITS:
2.6-2.8m KRW per month (depending on experience) plus 400,000 KRW housing stipend. We can help with finding housing.
Vacation: 15 days plus red days (all paid)
Severance pay
One-way flight ticket
50:50 Insurance and pension in accordance with Korean law
REQUIREMENTS:
Legally allowed to work in Korea
At least two years experience teaching elementary school age groups
Energetic and friendly with the students
Great communication skills
E-2/F visa
Currently living in Korea (preferred)
ABOUT US:
Located in Pyeongchon, 30 minutes from Seoul, we are co-owned and managed by a British/Korean couple, allowing smooth communication among staff and with parents. We try to make our classes as fun and stress-free as possible for the students, assigning less homework than other hagwons and trying to instil a level of self-motivation in the students. We have a tried and tested curriculum, but teachers are encouraged to be as creative as possible within that curriculum when teaching.
