We have a vacancy for a native English speaker to join our team of passionate and experienced instructors teaching university freshman students in Tianjin, China. The program consists of business foundations, academic English and university preparation. The position begins 1st October, 2025 and ends on 30th June, 2026.
The English for Academic Studies program plays a pivotal role in preparing students for the rigors of studying towards a Bachelor of Business degree which is delivered entirely in English. The role also enhances English language learning by collaborating with other teachers to integrate language development into their teaching. Central to the role of is delivering the program curriculum, managing classes, assessing and recording student performance, monitoring academic progress, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve improved results.
The location is Tianjin city – Hexi district.
On offer:
Salary: 14,000 rmb/month (negotiable)
Hours: 18 class hours/week (45 min lessons) - ordinarily no weekends and no evenings
Holidays: winter vacation during January and February (approx. 7-8 weeks) will be paid with full salary
Housing: a housing stipend of 2700rmb/month will be paid for the duration of the contract
Completion bonus: One full month's salary will be paid on completion of the contract in July, 2026
Requirements:
Age: below 58 (due to visa restrictions)
Nationality: MUST be a native English speaker with a passport from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sth Africa, Ireland, etc. Applicants not meeting this requirement cannot be considered
Education: at least Bachelor level and a TESOL/TEFL etc certificate
Experience: prefer at least two years. Applicants with experience in China will be highly regarded
Other: must be able to meet requirements related to police check / statement of no criminal history
