About the Role: College Counselor
The school is looking for a passionate College Counselor to guide high school students through university preparation and applications. The ideal candidate should be committed to a biblical lifestyle and thrive in a nurturing Christian environment. Responsibilities include personalized college advising, overseeing college-related programs, and supporting academic planning tailored to each student's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized academic and college counseling
- Organize workshops and college fairs
- Guide students in identifying suitable schools
- Assist with essay writing and application timelines
- Maintain relationships with university representatives
- Monitor student progress and maintain counseling records
- Collaborate with faculty to support students' development
- Integrate a biblical worldview in guidance processes
Required Qualifications
- Born-again Christian with spiritual maturity
- Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of college counseling experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. university admissions
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Cultural sensitivity in student guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Korean
- Experience with international students
- Familiarity with application systems
- School counseling certification (an asset)
