Windfield International School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computer Science/IT Teacher to join our British Secondary School department. The ideal candidate will teach Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A-Level Computer Science and IT, contributing to our STEAM-focused education model.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery
✅ Teach IGCSE ICT (0417) & Computer Science (0478), and AS/A-Level Computer Science (9618) & IT (9626).
✅ Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum and STEAM initiatives.
✅ Integrate programming, algorithms, and system life cycles into lessons.
Student Development
✅ Foster computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and ethical technology use.
✅ Encourage innovation and critical thinking through project-based learning.
✅ Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Resource Management
✅ Utilize software, hardware, and online platforms for interactive learning.
✅ Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into the curriculum.
Collaboration & Professional Development
✅ Work with colleagues on interdisciplinary STEAM projects.
✅ Participate in Cambridge teacher training and professional development.
✅ Engage in school events, including coding competitions and IT fairs.
Classroom Management
✅ Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
✅ Ensure safe and responsible use of IT resources.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
✔️ At least 4 years of teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE/AS/A-Level Computer Science/IT.
✔️ Proficiency in Python, Java, web development, and database management.
✔️ Strong classroom management and communication skills.
✔️ Passion for technology and education.
Preferred
✔️ Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.).
✔️ Knowledge of AI, robotics, or emerging technologies.
✔️ Experience leading student STEAM projects or extracurricular IT activities.
