Job Description:
Direct Hire - British Owned School on the Korean East Coast! My wife and I have been operating for 10+ years and built a very reputable school in the area. We predominantly teach elementary students and are a Cambridge school, meaning you have a global framework to work alongside.
Our school is in a small beach town, which is certainly not for people who need to be in Seoul, but it’s nice, has better air quality, is close to nature and tons of the best beaches in the country. It’s also connected on the KTX, so you’re only 2hours from Seoul when you get the urge to head into the city for western comforts, shopping, concerts etc
Experience working with children is certainly preferred, but training and lots of support is available for the right candidates ⭐️

Location : Donghae / Gangwon Do (beach town)
Current native teachers: 5 —- 4Brits and one South African.
Apartment ✅ our teachers all have nice 1 or 2 bedroom modern apartments. The new teacher will have all new furnishings bought. (Attached picture is of one of our current teachers - but to the standard we house our staff in, no moldy shoe boxes 😆)
Start date: Ideally we are looking to hire a teacher to start in January / February so that we can train them to take classes opening in March. But, March could be possible, potentially December could work too.
Teaching hours: 2 - 7:20 (occasionally to 8:10)
Office hours : 1 - 8:10
Students: 95% elementary 5% middle
Class Size: no larger than 10
Level: preA1-B2
Class length: 50 minutes
Salary: 2.3 - 2.7 depending on experience and qualifications - first year teachers will be on the base salary but will receive a lot of support for teaching and classroom management, then their salary coul be reviewed mid contract depending on performance.
Break: 30 minutes
Benefits: x5 insurances, housing, pension , settlement allowance.
Vacation : 11 days & all red days & long weekend of choice.

✅ have a clean criminal record
✅ be a native teacher from one of the 7 accepted countries for visa sponsorship.
✅ genuinely enjoy working and interacting with young students and comfortable teaching grades 1-6
✅ be able to work as a small team , but also have the initiative to work alone.
✅ have the personality to make classes engaging and fun.
✅ be organized and professional
✅ be responsible for extensions to our current curriculum when the need arises. Projects and presentations are the most common extensions to manage.
