Company Description
We are the Seongbuk branch of Chungdahm Learning Institute (CDI), a publicly traded company and a leader in English education in Korea. We offer free training and a predeveloped curriculum. Our branch in central Seoul is experiencing excellent growth. The closest metro station to the academy is Hansung University metro station.
Job Description
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, 4-10pm.
Work an average of 110 hours per month.
Student age: Grade 3-9 (elementary to middle school age).
Pre-established curriculum.
Location: Central Seoul and 5 metro stops away from City Hall in Seoul.
We currently have a total of 10 foreign instructors working at the school and most want to extend their contracts.
Possible starting date: May 2024.
Wage and Benefits
2.4 to 2.55 million KRW per month. Depending on previous teaching experience.
We can provide an apartment close to the academy upon arrival in Seoul or a housing allowance of 500,000 KRW can be provided depending on the instructor's preference.
Health insurance: 50% will be paid by the academy and 50% will be paid by the instructor.
2 weeks of annual leave will be paid within a 12-month contract.
One month's salary will be provided as a severance payment upon the completion of a 12-month contract.
Requirements
Prior to the start of teaching, you will be required to complete the 1 week CDI Instructor Training Program.
Contract length: 1 year (extension can be made if both parties agree).
The following documents are needed for teaching visa purposes:
B.A or B.S original degree or graduate degree and an apostilled degree.
CV/Resume.
Valid passport copy (over 6 months needed).
2 passport-sized photos.
Criminal background check completed from your home or current country residence that has been certified by the state government or Korean consulate.
