Are you a qualified and experienced English teacher currently living in Seoul, South Korea? Uchon Elementary School is seeking experienced primary & upper elementary school homeroom teachers to join their team of professional educators.
Uchon Elementary School is a private elementary school located in Seongbuk-Gu, Seoul, close to metro Line 4, Hansung University Station and Sungshin Women’s University Station. They prioritize authentic, hands-on learning and value student learning and the role of literacy in language education.
The position is for a Classroom English Teacher with a base pay of 2.4 million KRW per month + 700,000 housing allowance. The term of employment is from June 2025 to February 28th, 2026. Work hours are from 8:20-4:20 (M-F) with 24 teaching periods per week, each period lasting 40 minutes. The class size is approximately 28 students.
The benefits include 7-8 weeks of paid vacation a year, 5 paid sick days a year, medical insurance, pension, and a certification bonus for eligible candidates.
Applicants must have three years or more teaching experience in Korea, a BS/BA degree (Education, English or Linguistics is preferred), a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL or U.S./Canadian domestic teacher’s certification, and be willing to teach a demo class on site with real students.
