English Language Learning Coordinator - From August 2023
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an imaginative , flexible and resourceful teacher who has experience in leading and inspiring a small team of teachers.
We are looking for a native English-speaking and fully qualified English Language Learning teacher to assist in setting up an intensive language support programme (ILS). The role will also include coordinating the English language learning across the school.
The ILS will be a programme designed to improve students’ language level in a short period of time to allow them to eventually enter all mainstream classes. The students will receive focussed language learning skills for 50% of their timetable and spend the rest of the time attending PE, ICT , Art and Maths classes.
The position is a new one with plenty of opportunity to grow and develop our English Language support programme. The successful candidate will need to be creative , self motivated and able to plan for long term developments of the programme as the school grows.A proven track record of assisting students with developing English in and coordinating the support across the school.l.
Minimum requirements:
- An Undergraduate Education Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience teaching in the Primary school years
- Qualified teacher status recognised internationally (eg, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Native English speaker.
- Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
