STEP Language School is seeking an English teacher to join our team. We are looking for a native English speaker who is calm, organized, and enjoys working with children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building positive relationships with students and fostering steady, long-term learning progress.
We provide a stable teaching environment with a set curriculum, fixed schedule, and consistent hours. Teachers will have their own classrooms, which they are encouraged to personalize. Although there will be no Chinese co-teacher in the classroom, our team is readily available to provide support as needed.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
2. Must be a passport holder from a native English-speaking country.
3. Must have cleared a national police background check.
4. APRC holder, open work permit holder, or eligible for ARC. (Qualified candidates can receive a work permit and ARC)
5. At least 1 year of teaching experience in Taiwan.
Position Details:
- Students: Elementary Grades 1–6.
- Class size: 8–14 students.
- Student groups remain consistent throughout the semester.
- Teaching materials and curriculum are provided.
Working Conditions:
- Stable schedule with consistent weekly hours.
- Pre-set curriculum with no design required.
- Individual classroom with freedom to decorate.
- Administrative support available for any issues.
- Health insurance and labor insurance included.
Location:
- Yonghe, New Taipei City (5-minute bus ride from NTU across Fuhe Bridge, opposite Xiulang Elementary School)
Working Hours:
- 19.75–22.75 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours.
- Class Schedule:
July & August:
Mon, Wed, Fri: 13:30–16:00 & 16:15–18:45
Tue, Thu: 16:15–19:00
Regular Semesters:
Mon, Wed, Fri: 13:40–16:20 & 16:30–18:45
Tue, Thu: 16:30–19:00
Start Date: May 18, 2026

- NT$700 per hour or higher, depending on experience.
