English Teaching Practitioner Wanted – Private English Teaching Studio (Wonju)
Overview
We operate a professional teaching studio in Wonju. We are looking for a dedicated English teacher who values structural integrity, systems, and results. We do not run a "factory" academy; we run a high-rigor studio where your craft is supported by clear systems and a professional culture.
Work Environment & Professional Commitment
We structure our 8-hour workday to prioritize your effectiveness, not just your presence. This includes dedicated time for preparation and lesson analysis within your standard business hours, allowing you to manage your classroom and your curriculum load without "invisible labor" at home. We operate on a predictable, high-output schedule that respects your professional boundaries.
Role & Responsibilities
Classroom Output: Deliver high-rigor lessons for students ranging from kindergarten to middle school.
System Integration: Work within our established curriculum architecture and assist in refining our teaching tools.
Diagnostic Approach: Use your daily prep time to audit student progress and resolve learning blockages.
Energy & Engagement: Maintain a "work hard, play hard" atmosphere that keeps students motivated and engaged.
Requirements
Native English speaker (from US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, NZ, or South Africa).
A "practitioner" mindset: you are interested in self-correction, professional growth, and system-minded teaching.
Reliability, professionalism, and a track record of effective classroom management.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary: 2.4M KRW (Performance-based tiers apply).
Tenure Policy: We reward mastery of our systems and student outcomes over "time-served."
Schedule: 11:30 AM – 8:15 PM, Monday–Friday.
Holidays: All Korean "Red Day" public holidays observed.
Housing: Provided close to the academy.
Standard Benefits: Insurance, pension, and severance included.
