General Details
Start Date: As soon as possible
Student ages - Kindergarten, Elementary
Monthly Salary - 2.5-2.7 million depending on experience
Required qualifications - Bachelor's degree, TEFL certificate (preferred)
Working hours - 9:30pm-6:10pm
Contract length - 1 year, possibility of renewal
Paid vacation - 11 days per year (one week summer, one week winter) + all national holidays
Benefits - housing provided -or- housing allowance of 400,000 per month / partial reimbursement for one-way flight / health insurance / pension / severance pay upon completion of contract
Visas: Sponsorship for E-2 Visa, F Visa welcome to apply.
Our School
Our school is a small, intimate community with good relationships and a hard working attitude. Kindergarten classes will consist of less than 7 students. Elementary class sizes range from 1 to 2 students to a maximum of 7 students. We are located in Tongyeong which is a small city but with great transport links to a range of cities in Korea. The city itself is a beautiful, coastal area which attracts many Korean and foreign tourists alike.
We are a family run academy which aims to foster close relationships with all staff. We feel our close-knit, friendly atmosphere sets us apart from many other educational businesses in South Korea.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic English language educator to join our academy. Previous experience with young learners is preferred but not compulsory. The successful candidate will exhibit a love of teaching and should be able to build strong professional relationships with students and encourage a love of learning. The candidate should have good classroom management skills and be able to direct students appropriately. Having a strong, secure knowledge of English is a necessity.
