Teach English in Keelung, Taiwan
We are hiring aspiring and experienced teachers for our schools in Keelung, Taiwan! Local and international applicants are encouraged to apply, and those with immediate availability are especially encouraged.
You will join a team of educators from around the world and provide excellent English-as-a-foreign-language instruction to Taiwanese students aged 12 and younger. You will grade homework and assessments, communicate student progress to parents, and have access to a structured curriculum that helps you plan and deliver fun, engaging, and effective lessons for your students.
We are located in Taiwan’s northern port city Keelung. Keelung boasts easy access to the ocean, mountains, and neighboring Taipei, but with a much more affordable cost of living. It is home to one of Taiwan’s most famous night markets, indie coffee shops, vintage stores, and unique history and culture not found elsewhere in Taiwan. It is also a great home base for exploring northeastern and eastern Taiwan, home to Taiwan’s most stunning mountains and beaches.
We provide:
Competitive teaching pay: 680 to 730 NTD per teaching hour to start, commensurate with education and experience, plus an additional 3,000 NTD per month for completing administrative work
Guaranteed hours: you are guaranteed a minimum of 20 teaching hours per week, with most teachers averaging 25-26 teaching hours per week
Annual raises and contract completion bonuses
Assistance obtaining the necessary immigration documents and with house-hunting
Full access to Taiwan’s National Health Insurance program
Comprehensive teacher training and professional development opportunities
To qualify, you must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, a passport from a country where English is an official language, and be able to pass a national-level background check. Teaching credentials and experience are not required. Experience working with children may also be helpful.

Please review the requirements to teach English in Taiwan before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
