Job Description:

Foreign-Owned English Academy near Digital Media City (~15 Min to Hongdae) in Goyang, South Korea, is seeking a native English teacher to join Picnic English Academy. Classes never exceed ~21 teaching hours per week, with a maximum of 5 classes per day, Monday to Friday. The small class sizes, with a maximum of 8 students per class, range from elementary G1-G6. Curriculum and course materials are provided, but adjustments and feedback are welcome. Job Details:

- Location: Goyang (~20 min. from Digital Media City by bus)

- Housing provided in DMC

- Start Date: ~June 1st (flexible for the right candidate)

- 1-year contract (including 3-month probationary period)

- Maximum of 8 students per class, elementary G1-G6

- Subjects include Phonics, Writing, Speaking, Debate, and In-class English activities

Hours:

- M-F: 6 hours each day

- MWF—1:30PM to 7:30PM (~2 hours prep time)

- TTh—2-8PM (~1 Hour prep time)

- 40 or 50-minute classes, with a 10-minute break between each class

- Total teaching time per week will never exceed 21 hours, with no more than 5 classes per day

Salary & Benefits:

- Starting from 2.5 million KRW/month (negotiable)

- Housing: Studio provided in DMC (15 minutes to Hongdae) or + 400k monthly housing allowance

- All 4 National insurances

- 10 days of set paid vacation + All National holidays + 3 additional days paid vacation, +2 more (Second Year)

Qualifications:

- Native English Speaker with teaching experience in Korea

- Preferred candidates in the country (E-2 & F-visas welcome)

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school

- TEFL / TESOL / CELTA Certification preferred, but not required

- Apostilled CBR & University Degree required
