Native English Teacher - Seoul, South Korea

Shinkwang Elementary School in Seoul, South Korea, is currently seeking reliable and professional native English teachers for the 2026 Academic Year. The school is looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and can contribute to the learning experience of 1st to 6th graders.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Contract Period: Mon – Fri, from March 1st, 2026, to February 28th, 2027

- Working hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (8 hours per day, inclusive of breaks and lunch time)

- Classes: 20-25 classes a week

- Responsibilities: Planning and preparing lessons, completing assigned tasks, mandatory participation in two weeks summer & winter camp teaching

- Start date: March 3rd, 2026

- Salary & Benefits: 3.0-3.1 million won monthly + after school pay (Housing NOT provided)

- 1-year Completion bonus: Severance pay

- Vacation: 26 days as annual leave

- Medical insurance: 50/50

- Location: 5-minute walk from Sook Myung Women’s Univ. subway station and Namyeong station

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Native speaker of English

- Hold at least an undergraduate degree

- Minimum of two years of experience teaching English as a second/foreign language

- Must be in Korea and able to conduct a 15-minute demo lesson on the interview day

Preferences:

- ESL teaching certificates (TEFL, CELTA, etc.) with a minimum of 100 hours course

- Master’s degree, B. Ed., teaching certification

- Experience working at a private elementary school

3. National level criminal record check with apostille

4. Employment Health Examination result including TBPE/IGRA Test (conducted in Korea)
