Job Description:
Yoder Bilingual Academy, a prestigious private school in Taoyuan, is in search of native English teachers to join their team. Established in 2010, YBA is a rapidly growing institution located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City. YBA's affiliate, Yoder International Academy, is the sole American-accredited school in Taoyuan City, offering College Board products like the PSAT and AP exams.
As an esteemed educational facility, the International Department at YBA boasts nearly 30 skilled faculty members from various countries such as Canada, the Philippines, and the USA. In preparation for the upcoming school year, YBA is seeking qualified individuals to fill several teaching positions.
The available positions include roles for High School Math Teachers, Middle & High School Science Teachers, Middle & High School English & Social Studies Teachers, and Elementary Teachers. The job scopes entail teaching subjects like language arts, math, science, and collaborating with a team to develop and implement the curriculum. Additionally, teachers will assist in organizing school events like the Halloween Festival and Christmas Show.
Teachers applying for International Program Middle & High School positions should have at least 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant subjects. While a state-issued teaching credential or advanced degree is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Interested candidates with teaching credentials or an APRC/Marriage ARC, particularly those with advanced degrees, are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and candidates must hold a passport from an English-speaking country.
This full-time position at YBA requires work from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for additional pay by teaching after-school classes from 5pm to 6pm. The contract duration is one year, with the possibility of renewal.
