Job Description:

Varee Chiangmai School is currently looking for qualified teachers to join our team for the 2025 academic year in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We are seeking dedicated individuals who can commit to a one-year, full-time position in our English Programme for both primary and secondary departments.

Our school offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, with the opportunity for growth professionally and financially. For teachers with 3+ years of experience, we offer a salary of up to 65,000 THB.

Located near the city center, our school boasts modern facilities and well-equipped classrooms. We are the only school in Northern Thailand licensed to teach both Thai and International Curricula. We are looking for teachers who can plan effective lessons within an integrated curriculum, with a preference for those experienced in project-based and active learning.

As part of our commitment to professional development, we provide a Teacher Support System (TSS) and support teachers pursuing further credentials. Benefits include Allianz Medical Insurance, Work Permit and Visa renewal, 8 weeks of paid holiday, and a diverse selection of free lunches.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a Teaching Qualification from an accredited institution. We are accepting applications from native English speakers with passports from the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. While TEFL certificates are appreciated, they are not accepted as a teaching qualification.

If you are interested in joining our team, please send your CV and cover letter to recruitment@varee.ac.th.

Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
