Job Description:
Hua Wen Global Institute, an experimental education primary school located near Guandu MRT Station, Beitou District, Taipei City, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our teaching team for the upcoming academic year.
Full-time English (Independent) & Math Teacher (Co-teaching)
Description
English: Our English classes are ability based so students from any grade are able to test into the class that best matches their level. This role will likely work with one of our upper levels (Level 3 or 4).
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum (PBL, student centered curriculum, hands on learning).
- Conduct four fixed classes per week with two sessions per day (8 sessions/week).
Math: our math classes are co-taught by a native English teacher and a local math teacher. Teaching math in English requires a hands-on approach to learning where students are pairing manipulatives and group based activities with English language delivery to learn concepts in their second language.
- Conduct approximately 8 sessions per week.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding their progress.
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor's degree or higher with background related to education
- Relevant teaching experience preferred
- Ability to co-teach with a local math teacher
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student learning
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and requirements
- Must be available for the full school year (08/07/2023 - 07/05/2024)
Compensation:
Monthly salary of approximately NT$75,000, based on experience and qualifications
