Dear qualified teachers, we are currently seeking native English teachers as follows:
1. Role and Responsibilities
As an Elementary English Teacher at Seohae Sahmyook Elementary School, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of English as a Second Language topics for Grades 1 through 6. You must have expert knowledge of teaching English as a Second Language to elementary school students.
● Evaluate, monitor, and track students' performance
● Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities utilizing various teaching aids including PPT slides
● Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.
● Meet school-wide student performance goals.
● Participate in ongoing PD training sessions.
● Create lesson plans and modify them accordingly throughout the year.
● Grade papers, write report card comments and perform other administrative duties as needed.
● Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
● Develop class incentives to keep participants in the class.
● Develop professional relationships with other coworkers.
● Work with the Academic Director to ensure initiatives are being met.
● Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
● Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
● A week of summer camp(paid), 2 weeks of winter camp(paid)
2. Candidate Qualifications
All candidates must;
• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• F-visa holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Elementary school, Grades 1 ~ 6
• Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:20 A.M. - 4:30 P.M., Friday, 8:20 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week
• Starting salary: 2.3-2.5 million KRW monthly depending on experience, skill set or academic degree
