The Language Education Institute (LEI) at Seoul National University is looking for dedicated and qualified English test editors to join as full-time researchers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must hold a master’s degree and be a native English speaker or a bilingual Korean. While prior editing experience is not mandatory, it is preferred. The focus is on individuals who can help maintain the integrity of the TEPS (Test of English Proficiency developed by Seoul National University).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Full-time researchers will be responsible for developing, writing, reviewing, editing, proofreading, and scoring test items for TEPS and other tests created by the TEPS Center. We seek skilled writers who can produce substantial amounts of content on various topics within set timelines as per test specifications.
WORKING HOURS:
The working hours are 7 hours per day, totaling 35 hours a week, with a 1-hour break.
SALARY:
The annual salary is 34,000,000 KRW, with overtime opportunities for additional income. Upon contract completion, a severance payment is provided.
HOUSING:
Non-Korean citizens will receive 600,000 KRW monthly for housing support. Accommodation options include a minimally furnished faculty apartment near the campus or finding off-campus housing independently.
VACATION:
Employees are entitled to four weeks of paid annual leave.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
- Non-Korean citizens will receive 1,000,000 KRW for airfare at the end of the contract.
- Participation in the National Pension and Health Insurance Plans is mandatory.
- This is a renewable one-year contract.
