Learn Satit Pattana School in Bangkok is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Teacher to lead our team of educators. This full-time position offers a competitive salary between ฿90,000 and ฿120,000 per month. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and the academic progress of our students.
Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage heads of subjects to achieve outstanding academic results.
- Ensure the curriculum is current, age-appropriate, and aligned with best practices.
- Oversee lesson planning, assessment strategies, and intervention programs based on student data.
- Innovate teaching methods, ensuring differentiation and high student engagement.
- Communicate effectively with parents about academic progress and expectations.
Department & School Contributions:
- Develop and implement a vision for academic excellence.
- Participate in Heads of Department meetings and represent teaching staff.
- Lead recruitment, induction, and professional development for teachers.
- Conduct annual staff performance reviews and appraisals.
- Promote collaboration and mentorship within the teaching community.
Training & Development:
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development.
- Ensure effective induction programs for new staff.
- Identify training needs and facilitate workshops or external training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4 is preferred.
- Proven track record of student progress and academic leadership.
- Strong understanding of current educational trends and safeguarding procedures.
- Proficient in IT and educational technology for teaching and management.
Desirable Skills:
- Expertise in Math and Science, including algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans and explain complex topics.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting fellow teachers.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
