Job Purpose:
The ICT Teacher is responsible for delivering ICT instruction according to the Cambridge International Curriculum. Responsibilities include providing basic technical support to back-office staff and coordinating with external network technicians when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ICT curriculum to primary students following the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with Cambridge objectives, incorporating coding and emerging technologies.
- Foster a positive learning environment and support students in developing practical ICT skills.
- Provide basic IT support for school operations, including troubleshooting and device maintenance.
- Liaise with external network technicians to ensure network stability and upgrades.
- Ensure digital safety and compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams on ICT integration and participate in school initiatives.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with educational technology trends.
- Maintain records of student progress, technical issues, and ICT inventory.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably within the Cambridge Primary Curriculum or a similar international framework.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to integrate emerging technologies into classroom instruction.
Soft Skills:
- Passionate about teaching, adaptable, collaborative, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
