At Berkeley Language School, you will be a kindergarten homeroom teacher with a Korean-speaking assistant teacher and you will be an English subject teacher to elementary school students (with no assistance).
1. Responsibilities Overview
• Conduct classes as scheduled.
• Prepare materials for classes
• Student assessment and reporting
• Communicate and cooperate with other classroom teachers, co-teachers, and administration
• Attend meetings, workshops, and special events as required by the institute.
2. Requirements
• Be citizens of the following countries: U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa
• Have all required documents
• Have a clean medical health check
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary School Students
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
• Break Times: 12:10~12:55(45min Lunch), 14:50~15:15(25min)
• Prep Times: 5:00 ~ 6:00pm, Mon-Fri
• Teaching Time: 35 Kindergarten Classes + 10~14 Elementary Classes a Week
• Class Length: Kindergarten Classes 35 minutes, Elementary Classes 45 minutes
• Class Size: 13 students
• Most classes are in a classroom setting, but there will be 2 outdoor classes a month for the kindergarten students.
• Paid Teacher Training: Provided (Feb 28 and Mar 3 in person), Native Teacher Workshop (provided by the Ministry of Education)
Salary
2.4M - 3.0M KRW per month (negotiable depending on experience)
