Job Description:
A prestigious private school in Taoyuan, Yoder Bilingual Academy, is seeking native English teachers to join their team for the upcoming school year.
Established in 2010, Yoder Bilingual Academy (YBA) is a rapidly growing private elementary and middle school located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City. YBA is affiliated with Yoder International Academy (YIA), the only American-accredited institution in Taoyuan City that offers College Board products like PSAT and AP exams in the region.
YBA's International Department boasts nearly 30 qualified faculty members from various countries, including Canada, the Philippines, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
This elite school is currently looking for qualified teachers to fill the following positions:
- HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHERS: Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, AP Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus
- MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHERS: Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science
- MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH & SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHERS: English Language Arts, World History, Geography, and US History/Government
- ELEMENTARY TEACHERS: K-6 multiple subjects
The job scopes for these positions include teaching language arts, math, and science classes in a bilingual program, collaborating with experienced professionals to develop and teach curriculum, and organizing various school events.
The ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area. Possession of a state-issued teaching credential/license or an advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is preferred but not mandatory.
Applicants with a certified teaching credential/license or an APRC/Marriage ARC are encouraged to apply, especially those with advanced degrees. Previous teaching experience is preferred, and individuals must hold a passport from an English-speaking country.
This is a full-time position with work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. There are opportunities for additional pay by teaching after-school classes from 5 pm to 6 pm.
The contract duration is 1 year with the possibility of renewal. Benefits include a monthly salary, medical insurance, an end-of-contract performance bonus, compensated summer and winter vacations, personal leave, and the chance to create and teach club and elective classes based on personal interests.
