The English Program at Patumwan Demonstration School is currently looking to recruit teachers for chemistry and general science positions. The school offers excellent classroom amenities, laboratories, and a comprehensive set of resources.
The minimum requirements for the successful candidate are as follows:
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or for general science, a bachelor's degree in a related science discipline.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
A native English speaker.
A permanent or temporary license established with the Teacher's Council of Thailand, or at least 2 waivers left available.
At least two years of teaching experience.
The ideal candidate should:
Be familiar with several topics in the fields of chemistry. These topics will mainly be taught at the upper mathayom levels (10th-12th grade).
Be able to teach some additional sciences to lower mathayom students. These courses are general science courses and cover a wide variety of topics.
Be able to develop and conduct appropriate laboratory activities that reinforce learning in these areas.
Have experience in basic lab management including organization, cleanup, safety, and storage.
Possess strong classroom management skills and have a familiarity with Google Workspace for Education.
Provide advice to M5/M6 students on their 1.5 year science project.
Expect to participate in school activities. Teachers are also assigned as classroom advisors, with duties that include assembly and hall monitoring, exam proctoring, and annual activities, such as sports days, field trips, and parents’ meetings.
The teaching schedule will be no more than 18 periods of 50 minutes each week. The teacher will be responsible for daily lesson planning, developing curriculum, and collaborating with other teachers within the program.
