Be part of a growing edtech startup that’s connecting vetted teachers to students all over the globe. Experience teaching students in the US from the comfort of your own home! Chinese & Japanese language teachers needed to teach remotely via videoconference to US junior high school students in Hawaii. We are looking for energetic, forward-thinking individuals with both teaching experience and qualifications in the target language.This role entails teaching the Chinese/Japanese language as well as the related culture, history of China/Japan  - as part of our East Asian language carousel program (Korean, Japanese, Mandarin).

JOB TITLE: Chinese Language Teacher (Carousel Program) // Japanese Language Teacher (Carousel Program)

START DATE: Fall term 2022 

COMMITMENT  

2 classes a week (1 hour / class).   
Total 10 classes per semester + prep time
Time (To be decided - likely afternoon Hawaii Standard Time)

BENEFITS

Receive coaching in remote teaching from our team of experienced educators/school administrators
Salary - US$500-600 per semester based on experience and qualifications

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

Native level speaker of Chinese (Mandarin) / Japanese
(Preferred) Certification in teaching languages
Fluent English  
College graduate (post graduate degree preferred)
Teaching experience
Sufficient technology at home or place of teaching
Soft skills: communication, presentation, team working, intercultural skills, energetic, creative
Personality characteristics: dependable, innovative, energetic

Class preparation
Curriculum development
