Full-Time Secondary School ESL Teacher in Weihai City, Shandong Province, China
The Korean School of Weihai (KSW) in Weihai City, Shandong Province, China is looking for a full-time ESL teacher for secondary school (grades 7 through 12).
Duties
- Teach English classes
- Create and administer exams
- Communicate with homeroom teachers in situations involving student misbehavior
- Organize and participate in English events and contests
- Additional duties as determined by the contract
Position Details
- Term of Contract: [2024.05.01] through [2025.08.15]
- Grades: Secondary School (Grades 7 through 12)
- Working Days: Monday through Friday
- Working Hours: 8AM through 4PM
- Teaching Hours Per Week: no more than 24 (45 minutes per class)
Salary
- Salary: 17,000RMB(basic salary of 14,000 + housing allowance of 3,000) per month pre-tax, 17,500RMB if you are accompanied by family.
- Qualification Incentive: 1,000RMB per month if you have a teaching license or TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification
- Summer and Winter Incentives: 6,000RMB in both June and December
- Continuous Employment Incentive: 500RMB per year, starting in the second year of employment
- Optionally, you can teach after-school classes for additional pay
Paid Vacation
- You will receive your regular salary during both the summer and winter vacations, during which you will not work (except summer school)
Accommodation and Airfare
- Accommodation Allowance: 1,250RMB once
- Airfare: If you are flying from Asia, we will reimburse you 3,000RMB. If you are flying from a different continent, we will reimburse you 3,000RMB plus 50% of the rest of the cost of the flight, up to 5,000RMB.
- Any costs you incur in getting the visa will be reimbursed as long as you save your receipts.
