Job Description:
Secondary Science Teacher August 2023
Due to an increase in student enrolment , we are looking for an experienced Science teacher to set up the Science department for the secondary school for the academic year, starting August 2023. The school is in the process of building and equipping a new science laboratory and the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of this facility.
The school follows the Cambridge International Curriculum and plans to introduce IGCSE from August 2024 for the first time.
The school is in a very exciting phase of its life cycle , with many planned projects for expansion and improvement. For an energetic and enthusiastic teacher this will provide tremendous opportunities for personal and professional growth in a warm and supportive environment.
Minimum requirements:
- An Undergraduate degree in a Science discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience teaching,
- Qualified teacher status recognised internationally (eg, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Ability to create a variety of teaching methods and lesson plans that make Science exciting and relevant.
- Native English speaker.
- Commitment to Values-based Education and modelling our values on a daily basis.
