Job Description:
The Role:
Position: Teaching Couple
Start Date: Mid-February 2024 (non-negotiable)
Working Hours: 13:00 - 20:00
Age: elementary (first graders) to middle school (first graders)
Classes: Six 50 minute classes per day (classes are grouped by level, not age)
No weekend work
Class size: maximum 8 students per class
Each teacher is given their own classroom (with a computer and TV)
Benefits:
Salary: 2.3 ~ 2.4 million won (per month)
Fully furnished housing provided
Flight allowance (for international hires) or 300,000 won moving allowance (for domestic hires)
11 days of paid vacation (in addition to Korean holidays and school breaks)
Medical insurance
National Pension Plan
Severance (in accordance with E-2 visa regulations)
About Us:
Treehouse English, an immersive English academy is hiring a teaching couple to start in February 2024. At Tree House we emphasize interactive teaching and foster confidence through conversational skills with our young learners.
Accommodation:
A spacious, fully furnished, three-room apartment (one master room with en-suite, a guest room and a study). The apartment has air-con, a utility room, a balcony and parking. It is located within a 5-minute walk from the academy.
Location:
Geoje Island the second biggest island in South Korea. It is popular for its hiking trails and countless beaches. Okpo, a local town has a fairly big expat community offering a variety of Western bars and dining options. There is easy access to Busan for city adventures and weekend breaks.
Requirements:
Must be a teaching couple
E2 Visa (Work Visa) is required to work in Korea (only available if you are from the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, South Africa or New Zealand)
Experience in teaching elementary and middle school students desired
Bachelor's degree holder
National criminal background check
Valid passport
Compliance with other Korean government-mandated requirement
