Pride International School Myanmar (Pride ISM) is a highly-established British curriculum international school in Yangon, Myanmar. Founded in 2001, with our first IGCSE (then GCE O-level) cohort in 2006, we have fostered a positive, purposeful and professional environment for our students and teachers.
At Pride ISM, we are very pleased that an exceptionally large proportion of our teaching staff have been with us for 15 years or more, with many of our senior leadership team providing continuity and leadership over the almost 25 years of our thriving school’s history. We believe this is a testament to our welcoming, friendly and family-like working culture; one that enables our teachers and students to thrive in their pursuit of excellence.
Our school is guided by a vision: to provide a high-quality international education that is both affordable and world-class. We are very proud to have had students go onto the finest universities in the world and thereafter onto great career success. Indeed, we are now reaching the point where our alumni choose to send their children to Pride ISM, further fostering our wonderful family atmosphere.
Over the years, our results have been consistently excellent, with 2025’s Cambridge IGCSEs being no exception. In 2025 61% of our students’ IGCSE subject entries were A*-A grades, 84% A*-B and 96% A*-C. We are very proud too to have a thriving sister school in Mandalay, Pride ISM Mandalay, where results have been equally consistent and excellent since its foundation in 2005.
At Pride ISM we are proud to embrace Myanmar’s traditions, whilst at the same time, opening up our students to the wonders of an international education - one that enables them to unlock their potential and thrive not just in school, but throughout their lives.
For 2026, we have the following roles available:
Academic Coordinator, Secondary School (Yangon)
Deputy Head of English Department (Yangon)

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Myanmar before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
