Job Description:

We have two (2) vacancies for native English speakers to join our team of instructors teaching university freshman students. The program consists of business foundations, academic English and university preparation.  The position starts in mid-September, 2023 on a 9.5 month contract, ending  early July, 2024 (exact dates need to be confirmed with the partner university).

The program aims to prepare students for study towards a Bachelor of Business degree which is delivered entirely in English.  The learning materials will be prepared but you certainly have freedom to enhance them as you see fit to meet the goals of the program.

You will have a lot free time to do other things in this position so it is perfect for someone who wants to study by distance (one teacher recently completed an MBA as a full time student by distance), devote time to hobbies or work on your Chinese.

The location is TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area) - which has a large variety of Western bars/pubs, grocery stores with almost all of your essentials and is about an hour from Beijing on the fast train.

On offer:

Salary: 20,000 rmb/month (negotiable)

Hours: 18 class hours/week (45 min lessons) - ordinarily no weekends and no evenings

Holidays: winter vacation during January and February (approx. 6-7 weeks) will be paid with full salary

Housing: free single apartment provided (not shared) with utilities paid

Completion bonus:  One full month's salary will be paid on completion in July, 2024

Requirements:

Age: below 57 (due to visa restrictions)

Nationality:  must be a native English speaker from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sth Africa, Ireland, etc.

Education: at least Bachelor level and a TESOL/TEFL etc certificate

Experience: prefer at least two years
