2025 Summer Global Outlook Program(English Camp) Teacher Wanted 1. Location: Soongsil University, Seoul 2. Position Available: Around 35 3. Basic Qualification a. A valid passport from one of the following native English-speaking countries; USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa b. Teachers who are holding the following legal visas in Korea (F2, F4, F5, F6, E1, E2, C4) * Please indicate your visa type. ※ Teachers who arrived from abroad within 1 week before the opening of the camp are unavailable to apply. c. Teachers who are holding a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university of among the 7 native English-speaking countries mentioned above. 4. Required Qualification [* Pay Level by Qualification Condition] ※ Applicants also needs to meet at least one of the qualification conditions mentioned below for either Level A+ or Level A. Level Qualifications Pay Level A+ 󰋪 An instructor among the existing participating instructors of Soongsil University Global Outlook Program(English camp) who has been re-invited to the 2025 Summer Global Outlook Program(English camp). 󰋪 Current domestic and international elementary, middle and high school teacher or university professor. 󰋪 English teaching experiences more than 2 years in verifiable educational institutions and has at least one of the following qualifications. - Bachelor's or a higher degree from and accredited four-year university with majors related to English such as Education, TESOL, Second Language Studies etc. - Valid Elementary, Middle, or Secondary School Teacher’s License/Certificate - Hold an English education certificate such as TESOL/TEFL/CELTA (min. of 100hrs of education). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pay Level A 󰋪 Bachelor's or a higher degree from and accredited four-year university with majors related to English such as Education, TESOL, Second Language Studies etc. 󰋪 Valid Elementary, Middle, or Secondary School Teacher’s License/Certificate 󰋪 Hold an English education certificate such as TESOL/TEFL/CELTA (min. of 100hrs of education). 󰋪 English teaching experiences more than a year in verifiable educational institutions. 5. Working Conditions □ Schedule ⦁ Training Session: 2 days [July 17th(Thur.) ~ July 18th(Fri.)] * Mandatory ⦁ Program: 20 days (July 23rd ~ August 19th) ※ August 15th(Fri.) is a national holiday in Korea HOWEVER, due to the camp schedule, the classes will be held normally. □ Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Mon. - Fri.) □ Total Amount Received: differs depending on the Pay Level by Qualification Conditions. ⦁ A+ Level: Around KRW 4,300,000 (￦ 4,300,000) ⦁ A Level: Around KRW 4,050,000 (￦ 4,050,000) ※ The Total Amount Received mentioned above includes ‘the Evaluation Allowance’ and ‘the Participation Allowance for one level test’. ※※ Since the participation allowance for one level test is already included in the total amount received, participating in one of the level tests is mandatory. (*You can choose which date you would like to participate in after checking the level test schedule below.) □ Responsibility ⦁ Conduct classes (*Academic + Activity) ⦁ Make Lesson Plan and Syllabus ⦁ Make Achievement Test Sheet (+ Corrections) ⦁ Write Evaluation Reports (+ Corrections) ⦁ Correct student’s diary(grammar, spelling errors etc.) and write comments ※ Instructions and details will be provided during the training session and the camp. ■ Level Test Schedule ■ □ Option Ⅰ ⦁ Date: June 15th (Sun.) ⦁ Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm ⦁ Pay: KRW 150,000 (₩ 150,000) □ Option Ⅱ ⦁ Date: June 21st (Sat.) ⦁ Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm ⦁ Pay: KRW 150,000 (₩ 150,000) □ Option Ⅲ ⦁ Date: June 22nd (Sun.) ⦁ Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm ⦁ Pay: KRW 150,000 (₩ 150,000) * The schedule is subject to change. * You can participate in the level tests multiple times. 6. Participants a. Elementary Students (Grade 1 ~ 6) b. Class size: Around 15 students 7. Required documents a. Resume (* your recent picture must be attached / head-shot photo) * Your resume MUST include your Nationality, Visa Type, Contact Information, Education / Employment History. b. Cover letter [* Only for selected applicants] c. Scanned copy of Alien Registration Card (both front & back side) d. Scanned copy of Certificate of last degree e. Applicants needs submit a proof document of the qualification conditions that they are applicable. ※ Example: English teaching experiences more than 2 years in an educational institutions → Certificate of Working Experience * If worked at 2 different places for each a year, you need to submit 2 certificates of working experience issued by each work place. f. Applicants selected for interview and teaching demonstration will be notified in due time. ※ Interviews will be held through Zoom. 9. Application Deadline: until the positions are filled. 10. Information about C-4 VISA holders * For C-4 visa holders who is already residing in Korea * ⦁ Must check the period of stay mentioned on one’s visa and if needed, must go out of Korea to apply for another C-4 and re-enter Korea. In this case, one need to enter Korea by July 12th (Sat.). * For C-4 visa holders who is currently residing abroad * ⦁ Must check with the Korean Consulate in one’s home country, on how much time it would take to apply for and receive the C-4 visa. ⦁ Must prepare the required documents for applying for the C-4 visa in time, and also need to be able to enter Korea by July 12th (Sat.).
