Job Description:

𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝟏-𝟔

Building upon the achievements of our successful day academy, we are excited to announce the launch of a new English Language Academy. Rooted in American educational standards and ethos, our academy will provide enhanced English language instruction for after-school learners in grades 1-6.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Instructing students, ranging from G1-6, for designated classes in language arts
• Subject areas include Novel Study (Reading and Project-based Learning), Writing, Grammar, and Debate and Speaking
• Student Assessment and Grading
• Regular Parent Consultations

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

• 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: November/December 2023
• 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Seongdong-gu, Seoul
• 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬: Monday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬: 20 hours (max. of 23 hours)
• 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, negotiable within a specified range

𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• Previous experience teaching or working with young learners, ideally in a classroom setting
• Familiarity or expertise with teaching English to speakers of other languages
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

• Teaching certification or a degree in a related field, such as English, Literature, TESOL, or Communications
• At least three years of experience as a classroom instructor
