Gaepo Appletree Sept 2025 Start - M-F 9:00am to 4:30pm: Gangnam, Seoul 5 min walk/Guryong stn, Shared campus with KIS. Non-homeroom English teacher positions catering to younger students teaching only 5 to 8 thirty-min classes such as arts & crafts, phonics, storybook reading, and sing-a-long incorporated into the ESL lessons. Each classroom has a Korean English and Korean assistant teacher who are constantly in care/supervision & teaching. 4 foreign teachers on staff with a strong record of long-term retention. Free parking for teachers if you have a vehicle.

Seocho GATE Oct Start – M-F 9:00am to 5:00pm: Special Subject Gangnam, Seoul within walking distance from Gangnam stn. & Seoul National University stn. Seocho GATE offers a premium teaching environment in a central Seoul location, with a strong academic curriculum, motivated students, and 20 foreign teachers on staff. Unique opportunity for special subject Greatest People (social studies/history).

Working Conditions

Student Ages: Most of our students are 5-7 years old & some elementary ages for the afterschool program. Appletree caters to students 18-47 months old.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-4:30 pm for Appletree and 9:00 am-5:00 pm for GATE.
Teaching load: Less than 20 actual teaching hours per week
All YBM PINE Division schools are 100% owned & operated by the YBM Corporation – Contract is fully guaranteed.

YBM Calendar Session Breaks

Chuseok holiday Session Break: Oct 3rd, 2025 until Oct 12th, 2025 off.
Winter Session Break: Dec 25th, 2025 until Jan 4th, 2026 off.
*Appletree Salary with provided housing: 2.45 to 2.8 million won or *Housing Stipend of 600,000 won on top of your monthly salary.
*GATE 2.90 to 3.30 million won with provided housing by employer or employee can choose the non-housing stipend option and receive 600,000 won on top of your monthly salary listed above (Total- 3.50 to 3.90 million won)
*Up to 50% off for YBM Korean Language Lessons as an employee of YBM.
*Free Quality Lunch and snacks are provided with no additional costs.
*Will not be required to do any EXTRA WORK OR ATTEND RANDOM POP-UP FUNCTIONS outside of the contracted working hours.
*11 days of weekday vacation for first year employees and at least 15 days for 2nd year continuing employees. All National Korean holidays off including newly created Korean holidays with no makeup classes on weekends in lieu of these holidays.
*Teaching high level & attentive kinder to early-elementary age students.
*Follow a set curriculum and syllabus for easy lesson prep
*Encourage learning through an active and immersive process.
