Job Description:
As an elementary homeroom teacher, you will lead students through a challenging US-based curriculum in a classroom that is positive, interactive, and student-focused. The role involves teaching core subjects, nurturing students' academic and social growth, and supporting their emotional development.
You will:
- Teach ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies with a standards-based approach
- Create and deliver captivating, student-centered lessons following Common Core and NGSS guidelines
- Incorporate project-based learning, MakerSpace activities, and interdisciplinary education
- Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Evaluate student advancement and maintain precise records via Schoology
- Provide feedback to students and maintain regular communication with parents
- Foster social-emotional learning and community building within the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and school projects
- Engage in meetings, workshops, and school functions
Candidate Qualifications:
- Native English Speaker
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Education preferred)
- Teaching certification preferred
- Eligible for E-2 visa or holds F-visa/Korean citizenship
- Apostilled diploma and clean criminal record check
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Enthusiasm for student-centered, creative education
Working Conditions:
- Student Type: Elementary (G1–G5)
- Curriculum: US-based, standards-aligned curriculum provided
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
- Teacher Training: Provided
Salary:
2,800,000–3,400,000 KRW per month (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
