Job Description:

Uchon Elementary School in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, South Korea, is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Homeroom Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year, running from March 2026 to February 2027. This full-time position involves teaching both primary and upper elementary students in a literacy-focused program that emphasizes hands-on learning and modern teaching practices.

As an English Homeroom Teacher, you will work collaboratively with a Korean homeroom teacher and other educators to deliver engaging lessons. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and participating in school activities and professional development.

The position offers a competitive salary and benefits. The base salary is 2.4 million KRW per month, with a housing allowance of 700,000 KRW per month and a certification bonus of 200,000 KRW for fully certified teachers. Additional benefits include national medical insurance, a national pension plan, paid vacation, and paid sick days.

Candidates must currently reside and work in South Korea and have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level. A bachelor's degree in Education, English, or Linguistics, along with a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate or equivalent teaching certification, is required. Applicants should have a strong interest in literacy-based and hands-on learning and be willing to teach a demo class.
