Are you an experienced English teacher residing in Seoul, South Korea? Uchon Elementary School, situated in Seongbuk-Gu, Seoul, near metro Line 4, is in search of qualified teachers.
The school highly values student learning with a focus on literacy in language education. They prioritize authentic, hands-on learning experiences for their students.
Position: Classroom English Teacher
Location: Seongbuk-gu, Seoul
Term of Employment: March 2026 - February 28th, 2027
Salary: 2.4 million KRW per month + 700,000 housing allowance
Work Hours: 8:20-4:20 (M-F)
Teaching Hours: 24 periods, 40 minutes each
Class Size: Approximately 28 students
Holidays: 7-8 weeks paid vacation annually
Sick days: 5 paid sick days/year (600,000 KRW if not used)
Benefits: Medical Insurance & Pension - 50/50 split
Certification Bonus: Candidates with an accredited teaching certification/licensure specializing in areas related to elementary education are eligible for a 200,000 won monthly bonus.
Qualifications:
- Currently living and working in Korea
- Three or more years of teaching experience in Korea (elementary school experience preferred)
- BS/BA degree (preferably in Education, English, or Linguistics)
- 120-hour TEFL/TESOL or U.S./Canadian domestic teacher’s certification
- Willingness to teach a demo class on site
- TBPE & TB Health Check Results
