Hanyang University, Seoul campus is seeking qualified English teachers to instruct on an Intensive English Program. The aim is to enhance the academic English proficiency of Hanyang University Intercollege students within a short timeframe.
Job Description:
- Teachers will elevate students from Novice High to Intermediate High English levels over 10 months (Mar – Dec 2026).
Teaching Schedule:
- 3 hours per class, 2 classes per week (5-8 PM on Tuesday and Thursday) X 15 weeks during the academic semesters.
- July and August 2026: 6 hours X 5 days X 4 weeks (during July and August).
- Students' entry level: High Novice to Pre-Intermediate
Requirements:
- TESOL qualifications
- Experience in Intensive English teaching (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to undergo teacher training and adhere to provided instructions for student progress
- Valid visa: E-1 or F type Visa holders with near or native English proficiency
- Korean nationals are welcome if English proficiency is near native and above
- E2 visa holders are ineligible, and visa support is not provided by Hanyang University
Recruitment Process:
- Deadline for submission: Dec 9, 2025 (resume, cover letter, residence card copy, qualification evidence)
- Interview dates: December 16-17, 2025
- Teacher training: February 2026 (1 week)
Tentative Schedule:
- Training Orientation on Monday, Jan 5, 2026, for 5 hours
- Demo teaching on Tuesday, Jan 6, 2026, with 30 minutes per applicant
- Teacher Training with students from Monday to Friday, Feb 9 – 13, 2026, for 4 hours per day
- Payment: 50,000 KRW during training, 65,000 KRW for regular teaching (includes up to 60 minutes of out-of-class work)
