For this round of recruitment, ONLY educators currently located in Korea will be considered.
Just to be clear, we do teach English that falls under the E-2 visa requirement - just incorporating more engaging lessons utilizing STEM projects, as we believe the language can be taught in diverse ways.
Summary
ENgenius Club is an exciting STEM-focused English learning academy that follows the renowned US-based STEM education program, Engineering for Kids (EFK). We offer engaging ESL programs with STEM-related education curriculum, ranging from hands-on building projects to Robotics/Coding programs in English, catering to Korean students aged 4-14. Our mission is to provide a fun and interactive learning environment where students can acquire English language skills, as well as knowledge in Science and Engineering through hands-on projects taught in English.
We are currently seeking passionate and innovative educators who can join us as a main teacher of our new morning English kindergarten class (5-6 years old) and afternoon elementary low graders (1-2 grade) and long-term partners in growing the school and brand. We aim to serve kindergarteners to elementary school students, imparting knowledge and fostering their development.
Responsibilities
As a Teacher at ENgenius Club, you will be responsible for the following:
Delivering lessons to kindergarten and elementary school students based on the provided curriculum and lesson plans.
Researching and developing engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
Preparing class materials before each session.
Evaluating students' performance and planning accordingly.
Maintaining effective communication with management and the Education Director regarding students' progress.
Fulfilling other general requirements as needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
Native English speaker from one of the seven designated countries eligible for the E-2 visa by the Korean government. Please note that applicants requiring an E-2 visa from countries other than the designated seven will not be considered due to regulatory restrictions. Holders of F-visas are exempt from this requirement.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably in education or a related science field).
Conversational proficiency in Korean (Fluency is a significant advantage).
Experience in teaching kindergarten or elementary school students (Korean teaching experience is a plus).
Experience in building/designing hands-on class projects.
Proficiency in Canva and other computer apps like Microsoft and Google Suite
Background in science/engineering or education, or a strong interest in the field (preferred).
Ability to commit to a long-term position and contribute to building the school and brand.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-initiative, and a critical thinking mindset to implement creative lesson plans.
Work hours
Full-time position: Full-time teacher is expected to work 7-8 hours per a day (currently Monday to Friday, 9 am - 6 pm) Working hours may be flexible and subject to adjustment, based on the class schedule.
Opportunities for additional remuneration are available for external work related to the EFK program, such as camps in partnered locations and summer/winter camps.
Remuneration & Benefits
Starting 2.6M KRW or more per month pre-tax (negotiable depending on the qualification and experience)
Two weeks of school break per year (summer and winter) + general paid holidays and benefits as per Korean labour regulations, with additional benefits offered on a case-by-case basis.
Housing Stipend provided if necessary (up to 500K KRW).
National Health Insurance & pension coverage (50%).
Severance pay provided at the end of the contract term.
Free lunch provided at noon and dinner (if working late hours).
Other benefits negotiable.

7-minute walk from Suraksan Station (Line 7).
15-minute bus ride from Nowon Station (Line 4, Line 2).

If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.
