Hello, My name is Trevor and I am the co-owner at Toronto English (My other academy is called Ron English). I am looking to hire individuals who have teaching experience in Korea and enjoy working with elementary aged kids. We are looking to add more teachers to our growing team of 5 Native English teachers as our school expands and student numbers grow. My school’s philosophy is “Happy, Simple, English” and we strive to make our students feel safe and comfortable in our classrooms. Our goal is to provide young learners with a fun, stress free, English environment that fosters a long term interest in English learning. Here is a link to
We value good teachers who like to work both in an autonomous capacity as well as a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and best practices to help each other grow and improve. The curriculum is all prepared and in place. Teachers do not have to create new worksheets and curriculum. Instead they focus their prep time on how they will teach lessons, such as planning fun and interactive ways to teach, finding positive ways to help their students progress or preparing supplementary materials for the curriculum as they see fit.
Students attend classes 5 days a week. We cap class sizes at 8 students per class. Monday to Thursday lessons are taught and Friday is a fun activity day. On activity days, students participate in an activity planned by us teachers that is related to weekly themes.

A bit about me and my academy. I am a fully licensed elementary school teacher from Toronto (Canada) who holds a Masters of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto. My wife and I run two after school English language academies. Our first location (Toronto English), and the location we are hiring for, is in Yeongjong. Our seconed academy (Ron English) is located in Geomdan. Both are located in lncheon.
Toronto English is located in Yeongjong-do, Sky City. It is an hour away from central Seoul and 20 minutes away from Incheon airport. You can easily access all areas using public transportation which is very convenient.
The area is called sky city which has various shops, restaurants, markets, cafes, gyms, cinemas and many more. All your necessities are a 5 minutes walk. Furthermore there is a huge leisure area with a full sized football pitch, 6 a side pitch, badminton courts, skating ring and a race track.
We’re also close to the ocean and I recommend going to rwangni beach in the summer for seafood and swimming. Here is a video showcasing a little bit of the surroundings in sky city. Note the video was one year ago and has developed even more since then.
Here is a link to an independent video (not made by me) of a walk around the area where the academy and the accomodation are (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtOHVLXZxJ0).
*Please note, we will only be responding to applicants who meet the necessary experience and visa requirements.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.
Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
